Zanzibar

Why to go…

Zanzibar is an iconic evergreen island, situated 36kms away from the Tanzanian coast in the Indian Ocean near Dar es Salaam. It is known for its immaculate tropical beaches, spectacular architecture, meandering lanes, luscious tropical fruits, aromatic spices and charming friendly people. The breathtaking beauty of its coastline and the magnificence of the historical Stone Town make Zanzibar one of the world’s famous touring destinations.

When to go…

Zanzibar experiences ideal holiday weather for most of the year. The heat of summer is seasonally often cooled by windy conditions, resulting in pleasant sea breezes, particularly on the North and East coasts. Longer rains normally occur in April and May although it typically doesn’t rain every day during that time.
