Moremi

Combining mopane woodland, acacia forests, floodplains and lagoons, the Reserve is known for its great diversity of plant and animal life. The Reserve is home to nearly 500 species of birds and a vast array of other species of wildlife, including elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, jackal and various antelope including the red lechwe. It is also known for its significant population wild dog population. Popular spots to visit in the Reserve include the Hippo Pool at Khwai, Third Bridge, Chief’s Island and the Moremi Tongue.
