Majete Wildlife Reserve

Situated in the Lower Shire Valley in southern Malawi, the Majete Wildlife Reserve covers 70 000 hectares of diverse vegetation. Known for its large numbers of crocodiles and hippos, seen lazing about the Shire River, and its rich birdlife, the Reserve offers game viewing, elephant tracking, visits to a local village, and spectacular natural wonders, including the Kapichira Falls cascading over ancient rock formations.
