Quirimbas Islands
Many of Mozambique’s parks and beaches are inhabited by few people and therefore they offer tourists the chance to relax in beautiful, untouched environments, and so does the Quirimbas archipelago. The unexplored territory of Pemba is one example of this. These sandy beaches are also known for their wealth of marine life. This beautiful chain of islands is a popular spot for diving, with its exceptional vertical drop-offs, and fishing due to the great size of reef fish, parrotfish, angelfish, cave bass, morays and many others.
Along with gorgeous beaches, Mozambique provides tourists with game-viewing opportunities. The Quirimbas archipelago National Park consists of the 11 southernmost islands which present a vast expanse of mainland forest. The park is one of the most important and bio diverse marine regions in the world and combines landscapes of beaches and mountains.
